Tomatoes

Get Tickets

Does it get any better than freshly picked heirloom tomatoes with freshly made pasta? We don’t really think so.

Join Blue Moon Acres and Farm to Jars Wednesday evening, August 24th at 6pm and make your own fresh pasta to take home while learning every method of preserving the tomato. Marian Bolum, founder of Farm to Jars, will provide a demonstration on safely canning tomatoes while they are in season.  She will also discuss dehydrating, freezing and heirloom seed saving. During her discussion enjoy a serving of her own fresh pasta and marinara sauce (made with Blue Moon’s heirlooms of course!) and a Blue Moon baby leaf salad with lemon garlic dressing & optional shaved Parmesan.

Marian Bolum is a Certified Master Food Preserver. She conducts workshops and demonstrations throughout the North East and teaches people to eat seasonally all year round and greatly reduce their food waste.

$55 per person. Includes: pasta making, step by step canning instructions/demo, handouts, recipes, light fare, recipes, beverages and a fresh pasta to go home with. Visit our farm market beforehand for 10% off tomatoes!
