Blue Moon Acres Farm was started by Jim and Kathy Lyons in 1992. We grow numerous varieties of micro greens and Certified Organic specialty greens, produce, edible flowers, and rice in our greenhouses and fields in Buckingham and Pennington, NJ. We use only natural methods in our growing process– no chemical pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or growth regulators are employed. At our Pennington, NJ farm, new ideas, technologies, equipment, and techniques are being implemented to grow plants that naturally resist disease and pests, increase soil carbon and build soil structure, increase soil microbial/ fungal populations and diversity, and solubilize nutrients previously locked up in the soil. Healthy soil = healthy crops = healthy people = healthy ecology.
