Certified Organic Black and Tan Rice

A blend of aromatic brown and black rice which turns a deep, purple color when cooked. Freshly husked and organically grown, with exceptional texture and flavor.

Cooking Instructions:

Boil Method: Rinse 1 cup of rice in a small pot and drain.  Add 1 ¾ cups water and ¼ tsp. salt.  Bring to a boil with lid on then simmer on low for 50 minutes.

Or, for a heartier, stickier rice:

 Pressure Cook Method: Rinse 2 cups of rice in the pressure cooker and drain.  Add 2 2/3 cups water and ½ tsp. salt.  Seal pressure cooker, bring up to pressure using a high flame.  Reduce flame to low when pressure has been reached.  Cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.


Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. For longer term storage, refrigerate in a sealed glass jar.

    This rice has turned me into a rice lover! It’s so flavorful and fresh, unlike any rice I’ve ever had. It has a nice chewy texture that works great in salads but also as a side for meats and fish. I love how I don’t have to fuss around with it when it’s cooking – just set it and forget it, and the rice is done 40 minutes later. One of the easiest dishes I make by far!
